Jim Widmayer and Tim O'Gorman were victorious in the Men's Pairs Cricket competition on Sunday against David Fatum and Joe Slivan. The contest was best of three legs, and the teams split the first two games in see-saw battles that saw the lead change hands several times. In the deciding third leg, Jim won the start but opened weakly with two marks on 20. David failed to take advantage, and the teams started a point battle involving 20's, 19's and 18's. The momentum shifted in favor of Jim and Tim when Joe had an unlucky dart fall out of the triple 19. Jim and Tim were able to keep ahead down the stretch, with Tim striking a major blow with triple 15 and two bulls to put the game beyond reach and win the title.
